The Fourth Annual Waterloo Race for Diabetes is scheduled for Saturday, November 5th. Race registration is from 7:30-8:30 am. The 5K race will begin at 8:45 am and the 1K Kids Fun Run will be at 9:45 am. An awards ceremony will follow. The Waterloo 5K benefits Texoma kids with diabetes by providing scholarships for diabetes summer camp. Race funds also help provide diabetes education and supplies for patients with finacial need. The race begins at beautiful Waterloo Lake Park in Denison. The 5K course is mostly flat with some rolling hills around Waterloo Park neighborhoods. All entrants will receive a t-shirt and a goody bag. The overall male and female winner will each receive a $100 cash prize and a trophy. The top female and male in the master and senior categories will also receive trophies. Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female in each 5 year age group from 14 and under to 65+.
